Feel a bit irritable because I have got very itchy eyes because of Fu*king HAY-FEAVER…..
when i was in the 4th grade, a classroom bully (boy) punched me in the face (i'm female) because i didn't say the pledge of allegiance.
he was a big boy and i was an average sized girl.
he didn't break my nose, but he bloodied it, knocked out one of my baby teeth, and caused both my eyes to get blackened.
Quite a traumatic story there LZ. Sorry that you had to suffer that, especially in your childhood. It would be interesting which of all of those experiences you feel affected you the most. Maybe you could say………

I don’t know about just Jesus quotes being changed, there is a lot of evidence that quite a bit of the NT has been altered. But that is going a little bit off topic and could do with another thread to be fair to AK – Jeff.
But just to answer, no, I have not read the book you refer to. I am reading so many books at the moment and would like to finish them (don’t seem to be able to get the time to mind). But I have seen some evidence from scholars who were looking into the grammatical changes of the bible, and they were pointing out some of the obvious errors that have crept in, and the way that these errors have changed in many places the context of the passages that were contaminated.

This is the problem with the NT and why I had to put a question over that part of the bible also. So much of it ties into the accounts of Genesis, Jesus even quoting from the account himself, talking of the days of Noah, the first man created, even the chronology of Jesus himself at the beginning of Matthew and Luke, anyone who has a doubt about Genesis has also now got to get around the problems of the references in the NT. This will then put a question mark over the whole biblical account, if you are looking at it honestly…….

Again, I am not a scientist either, but just to put some feed back your way, if you look at the tropical rain forests, they are full of mist a lot of the time, in places a very humid environment. Vegetation growth is quite accelerated in such an environment. Could this be anything like the ‘mist’ as described in the Genesis account….??
Look at the way that plant life thrives, and all other kinds of life come to that.

A little while ago I replied to a post on this topic, and I thought that I would have a go at trying to defend the bibles account of Genesis, fitting it into the past 6000 years. I am embarrassed to say that I never did get back to the person who’s thread it was. I keep meaning to PM him and explain what happened. But I failed to prove anything. I tried to fit things into the account, but the extreme measures were just not reasonable.
I was disappointed in myself for a while but at the end of the day "you can’t fit a square peg in a round hole". I tried my best mind. I didn’t reply because I started to look into topics that might have helped me to find something that would prove the case. The problem is I am still reading into it. Still nothing that I could use to prove the account of Genesis, more the opposite in fact, but interesting stuff none the less.
Good luck to anyone who takes on the challenge. I would be interested to hear how others attempt to reconcile geology to Genesis. It would be interesting to see how others have faired…..
i have just had a long conversation with a dear friend, and we came to the same conclusion most people do not really think.. he is 75 and is fizzing with ideas, got a phd at 60. in fractals( no have little idea what they are).
for instance it was and is blindingly obvious to me that the price of oil would drop, it has a little.
the reasons are simple and i am prepared to discuuss that if you want.. i have observed in relationships recently, my own included, that we ignore the what is happening, and often to our, and our familie's long term benefit.
Really don’t want to be thinking about this right now……..
